Clare Kitson, joined the staff and students s at NUCA on Thursday 24th March 2011. Clare's diverse career spans over 40 years, during which time she has worked in varying commissioning areas, including from 1989-1999 commissioning Channel 4's animated content.
Talk with Tandem Directors
On Friday 1st April David Daniels and Jon Dunleavy gave a talk at NUCA to the animation students. The talk was an end to a three-week commercial project Year Two Animation students had been working on with the Directors. Both David and Jon are freelance and work as Directors at Tandem Films; their talks were on their work and careers so far in the industry, providing an extremely interesting session of contrasting works and discussion.
Tim Searle on Baby Cow Animation
Tim joined us at Norwich University College of the Arts on 28th January to talk about his career working on narrative comedy animation mainly aimed at an adult audience as well as his thoughts on the past and current landscape of the industry.

A Career in Drawn Animation
Ex Norwich University College of the Arts Graduate Nicolette Van Gendt has worked in the film, games, illustration, character design and traditional animation. Nicolette has an exceptional drawing ability and has been working very successfully in the traditional animation industry for about two decades mainly as a key animator, but also as a storyboard, layout, background and not to forget as a character designer on several productions.
