Hi. I've got an animation degree. I'm sorta based in London and sorta based in Cambridge.
I've been studying puppetry with an independent part-time course, and I am needing an offline community who work towards building characters, albeit for animation, animatronics or live-action puppetry. We wouldn't have to be working on the same projects. Just to have the studio atmosphere.... would be helpful for getting the projects realised.
Hope this makes some kind of sense. I mean, if there's enough people who also need such an environment, we could rent a place and set up, y'know?
Feel free to set me straight about what I'm trying to say. Cheers.

Have you tried contacting the Puppet Theatre in Norwich? They may be able to point you in the right direction?

Get in touch. Sam
Good to hear from you Sam, I'd forgotten about this. I did get as far as starting a group in london, but haven't gone very far with it. I don't have a place to stay there anymore, but it will still be worth the journey if there's progress to be made.
It's here http://www.facebook.com/home.php?ref=logo#/group.php?gid=69336937572
I'm not sure how many of the people who joined would attend an event. About a third of them are just friends who joined to be nice :P
I'm on http://www.puppethub.com/profile/CabbagePatchPete and my blog shows the project I have been doing up until last weekend, when I finished it. (Good timing!)
I'll be interested to know what kind of thing you do.
