110 projects submitted, 63 selected for 1st Cartoon Forum in a new EU country
Out of 110 projects submitted (a 20% increase!), 63 animation TV projects from
21 countries have been selected to be pitched at the next Cartoon Forum in
front of all potential investors. More than 40% of the shows are also
conceived for new platforms: this ratio has doubled since 2 years. France
leads the line-up with 21 projects, followed by the UK (7) and Spain (6). The
new EU members show a growing vitality (10 projects), as well as the Nordic
countries (7).
Unique combination of pitching sessions and networking, the co-production
forum will take place from 14-17 September in the historic town of Sopron
(Hungary). Registration is now open!

CARTOON / European Film Academy
European Film Awards 2010: submit your feature film!
As you know, the European Film Awards have a new category since last year,
specific for Animated Feature Fims. You can now submit your film for the 2010
award.
Eligible films should be European and should have had their first official
screening (be it at a festival or cinema) after 1 July 2009. Check out the
regulations for more information.
Submitted films must be sent to the European Film Academy along with the
completed information sheet, 6 DVD screeners in original language with English
subtitles and 1 press book.
Deadline for submission is 15 June 2010.
