Encounters have had a great response so far but you still have time to submit your short film to them. If you are part of an institution or have 2 or more entries, get in touch with the festival office (programme@encounters-festival.org.uk) or visit the Encounters website (http://www.encounters-festival.org.uk/) for further information about multiple entry discounts. They have also introduced digital submissions for the first time sponsored by YouSendIt, saving you £5 off the submission fee.

The submission form has also changed, those who submit to the festival, will create a user account which will enable you to:

• Submit and upload films to the 2009 festival and future editions of Encounters

• Re-enter your account, to update your details

• Upload one still per film

• Become a delegate in September

• Access unique special offers

Encounters welcomes films of every genre under 30 minutes: animation, drama, documentary, experimental, music video and does NOT have a premiere policy but does now have a submission fee.
