Nickelodeon International Open Mics- deadline extended!

How the Open Mics Work: If you’re interested in being considered for an Open Mic with Nickelodeon International, please submit ideas as a pitch in the form of a brief paper treatment with some artwork, a synopsis, character descriptions etc to give us a sense of your initial idea. The ideas we feel have the most potential for Nickelodeon will then be selected as Open Mics for 2009. We are looking for Ideas that…

• Are funny

• Are gender neutral

• Target a 10-11 year old audience

• Stand out as Nickelodeon in style, feel & tone versus something that could air on another broadcaster • Apply the ‘heart + fart = smart’ formula providing huggable, funny characters who push boundaries in an irreverent way.

• Are aspirational for kids – their world only slightly better

• Are kid relatable and have a kid point of view

• Work globally

• Have good storytelling qualities The Open Mic Parameters and Details:

• The ideas we choose for Open Mics will each have a budget of £10,000
