Flip would like to invite animators to submit films for consideration in the Open Shorts sections of this years FLIP Animation Festival. The festival includes awards and prizes in a number of categories, including Best Fof Festival, Best International Film, Best UK Film, Best Stop Motion and Best Newcomer. The competition is supported by Toon Boom and Stop Motion Pro.

The Children's Media Conference
After six successful years as Showcomotion, the annual get-together of the children's media industry in Sheffield has changed its name to The Children's Media Conference , to "tell it like it is on the tin".
