An Introduction to TV Production Management
This one day workshop is aimed at those new to the industry and/or looking for an introduction into the role of a TV Production Manager. The emphasis is on Factual TV although there is a drama element. The course will examine aspects of the role from pre to post production, from setting up for a shoot to delivering a programme. This is a practical presentation with down-to-earth advice and guidance including: avoiding common pitfalls, good practice, and the vital qualities needed by a production manager. The afternoon session is totally interactive where delegates apply their knowledge and skills in practical activities.

A Comprehensive Study of Final Cut Pro 6
This a five-day hands-on course introducing delegates to the primary feature set and basic interface of Final Cut Pro. Delegates should have a basic knowledge of the Macintosh OS. The presentation includes an opportunity to achieve an Apple Certified Pro, Level 1 in Final Cut Pro. This qualification can count towards the new Final Cut Studio (FCS) Master Pro certification.

An Introduction to Film Sales, Marketing and Distribution
This one day workshop is aimed at those new to the industry and/or looking to further understand the processes of effective film sales, marketing and distribution. The workshop will also include a practical opportunity to understand and develop effective pitching technique. The presentation is a balanced mix of presentation and delegate interaction. Topics covered include: Film as a product, pitching, the production chain, the role of the sales agent, principles of marketing a film, the issues and pitfalls of self-marketing and distribution, the commercial distribution of film, distribution marketing plans, marketing tools used by distributors, the cost of cinema releasing, getting the message out.

This one day workshop will provide you with the skills to help you become more creative. The presenter – Adrian Reynolds – has spent years exploring what makes some people highly creative. His journey has taken him to the cutting-edge of brain science – and working alongside some of the UK’s leading creative thinkers and innovators. Delegates will leave the workshop having learned new ways to connect with their own creativity and become more confident and focused. The workshop will involve and individual and group activities and because good ideas alone are never enough you’ll be exploring methods to improve the odds of your concepts getting off the ground.
